What is Reiki? Reiki is a method of healing that uses two approaches; hands on and/or distance healing. Reiki is a powerful tool for relaxation and stress reduction and compliments all forms of medical treatments as well as other modalities. This ancient Tibetan healing technique balances the body’s energies on all levels, whether mental, spiritual, bodily or emotionally.
What to expect at a session:
Sitting in a chair or laying on a massage table full dressed the client should be open to being relaxed and awake but may fall into a light sleep like state. Ramona will lay hands on the body or just above the body in difference positions generally starting from the top of the head to the feet. Reiki can be given on the front of the body and/or on the back. Laying of hands can feel warm or cool and soft music may accompany the session however it is not necessary for the session. There generally is no conversation during the session and no eating or drinking during the session is allowed. It is highly recommended that during the time of the distance healing sessions the receiver can be seated or in a position to be able to relax.
I do not do give or perform readings or mediumship in a healing session. For myself as a practitioner, healing work should be based upon each persons ability to accept there own awareness in their own way within there own preferences or beliefs.
Reiki is secular thereby presenting no bias for preference to ones belief systems or cultural values. I practice Reiki with the understanding that Reiki is one method of healing that is universal in its approach and positive in its application. For those with an interest; Practitioner training for Reiki is available either for self care applications, personal energy clearing and/or being a practitioner to heal others.
